2026 NSBS and CBA-NS Pride Reception

The Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society and NSBS Gender Equity Committee are proud to partner with the CBA-NS (Canadian Bar Association: Nova Scotia Branch) and Call-Acal (Canadian Association of LGBTQ2S+ Lawyers) for a special Pride Reception on July 23, 2026.

This year, Call-Acal’s Prisme 2026 conference, Unity in Law: Shaping the Rights of 2SLGBTQ+ Rights, will be taking place at the Halifax Convention Centre. The annual conference will host over 200 legal professionals from across Canada for an inclusive and collaborative forum to discuss current issues facing 2SLGBTQ+ individuals in the legal profession and the advancement of 2SLGBTQ+ rights in Canada and around the world.

To celebrate Pride month and support the work of Call-Acal and the Prisme Conference, the Society is partnering with CBA-NS to co-sponsor a Pride reception on the evening of July 23 at the Alexander Keith’s Brewery. This social will be open to attendees of the Prisme Conference, as well as CBA and NSBS members who are not attending the conference.
