McKiggan Hebert seeking Legal Assistant

McKiggan Hebert is currently seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join our team at our offices in Purdy’s Wharf in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This is a full-time permanent position. The successful candidate will support a practice in personal injury law. Responsibilities will include client service and correspondence, preparing and managing documents and files, entering time, completing invoices, managing calendars, and other related duties.

The successful candidate will have a Legal Assistant or Paralegal diploma from a recognized institution, strong technology skills particularly with MS Office and time keeping and billing software. Experience as a Personal Injury Legal Assistant an asset. Experience with Filevine an asset. The candidate must be detail-oriented, have exceptional personal integrity, be flexible with changing schedules and duties, demonstrate outstanding client service and communication skills and be a strong team player.

Salary range:

Based on experience $28,000 – $45,000.
