We are advocates for social justice who represent clients inside and outside of the courtroom, while valuing the language, customs and traditions of Inuit. Responsibilites:
– Providing summary and litigation support on civil and family files;
– A lawyer for LSB will cover areas such as: human rights, poverty law, public housing, child protection, child support and other related family and civil matters.
– Providing community services within the BOARD’s Public Legal Education mandate;
– Other administrative duties as assigned by the CEO.

Requirements:
– Ideally 3+ years experience in criminal law practice areas, however all resumes will be reviewed.
– Flexible contracts available.
– Membership in good standing with a law society in Canada and ability to transfer/practice in Nunavut
