WHERE DO I FIND MORE INFORMATION?

WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT?

  • NSBS Council approved The Path as mandatory training for all practising lawyers in Nova Scotia. An excellent introduction to Indigenous Peoples in Canada, it is highly regarded and endorsed by the Canadian Bar Association.
  • The Path is an important part of our commitment to improving the cultural competence of the legal profession and responding to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action. Call to Action Number 27 calls upon Canadian law societies to ensure all lawyers receive appropriate cultural competency training.

HOW DO I REGISTER:

  • Just email Jacqueline Mullenger at jmullenger@nsbs.org with the subject line: “Path Login Please” and she’ll send you the login steps with your enrolment key.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE:

  • The Path is a six-hour series of online modules with videos and quizzes.
  • The six hours can be included in your mandatory CPD requirement.
