Happy Holidays from the NSBS

NSBS President, Michelle Kelly KC, appointed Supreme Court Judge

NSBS President, Michelle Kelly KC, has been appointed a Judge of the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia in Bridgewater.

The Society is seeking nominations for the Award for Mi’kmaq & Indigenous Peoples Excellence in the Legal Profession (AMIE).

Nova Scotia Legal Aid Commission – Board of Directors Opening

The Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society is seeking a practising lawyer to serve on the Nova Scotia Legal Aid Commission’s Board of Directors. The successful candidate will serve as the Society’s nominee on the NSLAC Board. Criminal, Family Law, and Governance experience is an asset, and all practising lawyers from across Nova Scotia are invited to apply.

CPA Nova Scotia – Public Representatives

CPA Nova Scotia is seeking public representatives to serve on our regulatory committees, including Fitness to Practice, Complaints, and Discipline.
