NSBS 2025/26 Award Reception celebrates Professional Achievements

On April 23, 2026, the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society recognized the recipients of our 2025/26 NSBS awards and certificates.

Notice to the Profession: Changes to One-Time Disclosure of Taxpayer Information for Client Matters

As of April 15, 2026, the CRA will no longer process requests from lawyers or law firms for the taxpayer income statements, notices of assessment, or benefits information.

Notice to the Profession: Town of Mulgrave Deed Transfer Tax Increased

On April 7, 2026, the Town of Mulgrave passed a by-law motion to increase the Deed Transfer Tax to 1.5% of the value of the property transfer.
