Join us today as we are currently hiring a Paralegal and Executive Assistant based in Dartmouth, NS. Reporting to the Vice President of Risk, Human Resources and Legal Counsel this role will:
Core Job Functions:
Provide basic administrative tasks which include but are not limited to ,
Answering calls, photocopying, filing
Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail with discretion and confidentiality
Manage calendars, including: arranging appointments, meetings, rescheduling to optimize the calendar, handling conflicts and ensuring time is allocated effectively for senior leaders including the President, CFO and VP HR & Risk
Coordinating and communicating travel arrangements as well as changes for the senior leadership team
Work independently and within various business groups to address issues as they arise in a timely manner
Prepare various reports, correspondence and internal communications
Invoicing support and administration within the Loss Control department.
Paralegal responsibilities to include:
Contract review, organization (including renewals and comparisons/analysis) and drafting support
Litigation support including preparation of materials in response to undertakings, and coordinating swearing’s.
Debt collection support
File management and organization
Other duties as required
A minimum of 2 years of Paralegal experience is required
Experience in administrative or executive assistant roles would be considered an asset
Post-secondary education in a related field is required
Computer skills specifically in Microsoft Office
Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
Strong communication skills – verbal and written
Excellent organization and time- management skills
Well organized, detail oriented and a proven ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
Critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills required
