While Pride is internationally marked in June, Nova Scotia celebrates in July, and it is an important moment for us to recognize that public confidence in our justice system requires a profession and institutions that serve everyone with fairness and integrity. Pride’s history is a reminder that equal rights are neither abstract nor automatic: they require a justice system, guided by the rule of law, that protects 2SLGBTQIA+ people and ensures meaningful access to the rights and opportunities our system is meant to guarantee. We recognize our responsibility to create a profession and justice system in which rights are real, durable, and meaningfully upheld.
In July the Society with be hosting a Pride 2026 reception alongside CBA-NS. Further details regarding the reception will be shared in the coming weeks. In the meantime, we encourage you to review the collection of resources below.
