Thank you to all those who attended our inaugural NSBS Discuss session last Wednesday.
Our first NSBS Discuss explored the Society’s support for the 2SLGBTQ+ community and heard concerns surrounding the organization’s withdrawal from Halifax Pride in 2024.
We greatly appreciate the members and allies of the Queer community who took the time to meet with our Council and staff to discuss how we can better support our 2SLGBTQ+ members and the community at large.
Law societies have a meaningful role to play in assuring that all lawyers feel welcome within the legal profession, and that the profession reflects the diverse communities it serves.
We look forward to continuing to work alongside the 2SLGBTQ+ and other equity-deserving communities to assure we are upholding and protecting the public interest in the practice of law for ALL Nova Scotians.
