Each year the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI) releases the CCDI Diversity Calendar.
The calendar not only raises awareness of important days of recognition but helps professionals working with individuals of diverse cultural and religious backgrounds keep track of days of observance relevant to their clientele.
The Calendar contains:
- Religious holidays: Keep track of religious observances to support and respect diverse faiths.
- Cultural celebrations: Recognize global festivals and heritage observances.
- Diversity awareness dates: Share important days highlighting diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
- UN international dates: Stay informed about globally recognized observances.
You can view a copy of the 2026 CCDI Diversity Calendar here.
Taking inspiration from the CCDI, the NSBS is in the process of developing our own NSBS Diversity Calendar for 2026 to help lawyers recognize and honour the diverse beliefs and observances of their clients.
