Last year, the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society surveyed the public and its members about the work we do, including how we are perceived, and how we can improve. We received thoughtful and detailed responses, and we thank everyone who participated in this essential part of our evolution.
The Law Society of Alberta, in conjunction with the law societies of British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan and the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society, is seeking feedback on the types of training and mentoring articling students are receiving, issues related to discrimination or harassment and how prepared articling students feel to practice law in the 21st century.Â

REMINDER: Effective April 1, 2024, counsel and individuals representing themselves in the Court of Probate for Nova Scotia will be required to include the original Will as an exhibit to an Affidavit when filing their documents with the Probate Court.
