Property Paralegal – Heritage House Law (Dartmouth)

Since 1986, Heritage House Law has proudly served Nova Scotians from our designated heritage building in the heart of downtown Dartmouth.
We’re looking for a Property Paralegal to join our close-knit team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who takes pride in their work and values a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review legal documents related to residential and commercial real estate transactions
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, lenders, and other parties involved in property matters
  • Manage real estate files from opening to closing, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Perform title searches and registrations using Nova Scotia Property Online
  • Maintain accurate file documentation and assist with general administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Property Paralegal, ideally focused on real estate transactions
  • Strong working knowledge of the Land Registration Act and Nova Scotia Property Online
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (experience with PCLaw is an asset)
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine focus on client service
