Location: Bedford, Nova Scotia (In-Office)

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a candidate to execute the winding up of a law practice. This 3- to 6-month term requires an individual capable of:
- Organizing the transfer of active files to new counsel
- Direct the orderly disposition and storage of closed files in compliance with
NSBS File Opening & Closing guidelines. - Assist in the reconciliation and closure of trust accounts.”
- Manage formal client notifications and external communications regarding the
firm’s closure. - Manage file systems and administrative tasks to support ongoing legal work.
- Ensure high levels of accuracy and confidentiality in all matters.
Qualifications & Experience
- Property Experience (Strong Asset): Previous experience in property law, residential conveyancing, or real estate transactions is highly preferred.
- Legal Background: Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, strong written and oral communication, and the ability to work independently under deadlines.
- Local Residency: Ability to work in-person at our Bedford office.
