
Applications are open for the Canadian Institute for Advanced Legal Studies‘ The Right Honourable Paul Martin Sr. Scholarship and the Bourse Paul-André Crépeau.
The Right Honourable Paul Martin Sr. Scholarship is awarded for study in the LLM Program at the University of Cambridge. This scholarship is co-funded with the Cambridge Commonwealth European and International Trust, which is the principal channel for scholarship programs at the University of Cambridge. Each year, it awards scholarships to several postgraduate applicants, including our joint scholarship for LLM students.

The Bourse Paul-André Crépeau is awarded for graduate legal studies leading to the equivalent of a master’s or doctoral degree in French language outside Canada. For doctoral studies, the scholarship is available to candidates enrolled in a co-guardianship program with a French language university outside of Canada and, for the first time this year, to those enrolled in a doctoral program written in French at a Canadian university and wishing to study abroad for an academic year under the auspices of a Francophone university outside Canada.

Please note the deadline for the 2026-2027 scholarships is December 31, 2025. Application deadlines for university graduate programs, such as the LLM Program at the University of Cambridge, may be earlier.
