LSR and A2J come together

In order to better understand some of the legal needs in the community and discuss the plans for a changed model for legal services regulation, the Society and the United Way of Halifax will be collaborating on some community consultations.

The goal is to allow the Society to engage with organizations in the not-for-profit sector. We will discuss their legal needs. We will try to understand the legal needs of their clients. We will share some of the proposals we have developed to expand legal service delivery options. Our goal is to engage them about different models of legal service delivery to ensure that community needs will be better served.

Many organizations connected with the United Way know firsthand about the access to justice crisis. We welcome the opportunity to learn from them as we finalize our plans for legislation to implement our Transforming Legal Regulation work.
