Legal Assistant/Paralegal

Atlantica Law Group is a well established law firm offering legal services to clients in the areas of property, estate planning, Wills and corporate throughout Nova Scotia and beyond from our office in Windsor, Nova Scotia.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant/Paralegal. The successful candidate would be responsible for:

Drafting and reviewing legal documents and correspondence
Managing case files and documenting all relevant information
Communicating with clients, courts, and other legal entities
Providing legal and administrative support to two lawyers
Other duties as required

Qualifications:
Minimum 1- 2 years experience as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal preferably in property, corporate and estate law
Ability to work independently and to deal with conflicting priorities and deadlines
Have good technical skills, including knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, Word and Word Perfect
Be able to work in a fast paced environment
Have excellent oral and written communication skills
Attention to detail and accuracy are a must
Knowledge in EsiLaw/Legal Accounting systems and/or bookkeeping would be an asset
