Admin Assistant/Accounting Clerk

Anderson Sinclair Barristers & Solicitors in Kentville has an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant/Account Clerk to join our busy multi-practice Law Firm.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Day-to-day accounting tasks including but not limited to: accepting and processing debit/credit card payments, processing accounts receivable and payable, receipt of Trust funds, processing cheque requisitions, daily bank deposits;
• Adhering to the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society requirements for working with Trust Accounts;
• Opening and closing files in accounting program, sorting mail, arranging couriers, and other administrative duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Highly attentive individual who is organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment;
• Strong analytical, drafting, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail;
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with an experienced, supportive team;
• Excellent computer skills, experience with programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, and has the ability to learn new software quickly.

Compensation based on experience and qualifications.
