Is the “visible minority” concept still relevant in measuring inequalities in the labour market? Addressing the challenges of under-employment and unemployment of racialized people in Canada starts by measuring employment rates of visible minority groups over time.
In this webinar, CCDI invites Laetitia Martin from Statistics Canada to present her research findings on labour market outcomes for various ethnic groups, disaggregated beyond the classical visible minority categorization. This is followed by a discussion of implications of this research for employers and workplaces who are working towards employment equity and representation.
