This is a two-day virtual conference wherein the learning objective is to help give attendees a better understanding of their federal and provincial regulatory obligations. The legal framework within which life and health insurance is distributed is complex, and useful updates for in-house counsel will be provided. In addition, the learning objective is to provide attendees with a framework by which they can encourage compliance with legal and ethical standards. In particular, this will help in-house counsel working with regulatory compliance, and advising on insurance distribution matters.
In addition, the target audience of this conference is in-house counsel, lawyers staffed in regulatory compliance roles, and all others who sit in policy related roles that are related to the regulation of the distribution of life and health insurance products.
