Making the tough call: writing-up workplace decisions (4 hr CLE workshop)

“Justice must not only be done, it must be seen to be done.”

This workshop assists executive directors, directors and managers to make and communicate fair and just decisions when wrongs must be made right in a workplace. This interactive half-day workshop will explore:

  • ways to handle conflict in collaborative, relationship-building ways to repair harms in a workplace
  • what justice is and how do we ensure justice is done by a manager
  • how to write up basic decisions to correct a workplace problem and repair harms to the workplace
  • how to address human rights issues within the written decision

The Nova Scotia Provincial Tribunal Access to Justice Committee and the Canadian Rights and Freedoms Center are hosting this professional development training. The workshop will be facilitated by Lisa Teryl, Teryl Scott Lawyers Inc, legal management consultant and former Senior Legal Counsel at the NS Human Rights Commission.
