Animal Cruelty Prosecution Conference
hosted by the National Centre for Prosecution of Animal Cruelty (NCPAC)

NCPAC provides resources to Crown prosecutors that support the successful prosecution of animal cruelty cases using the Criminal Code of Canada. The centre designs and delivers training to the prosecution community that reflects current best practices in animal cruelty prosecution in order to improve consistency and outcomes across the country.

This conference is open to Canadian Crown prosecutors and representatives of investigative/enforcement agencies (for example, SPCA, RCMP, or Wildlife Enforcement/Conservation officers) and experts (for example, veterinarians) who are actively investigating or assisting in prosecuting animal cruelty. Attendees must obtain approval from NCPAC to attend the conference. Please review, complete and submit the Conference Application to request approval.
A limited number of grants are available to support the attendance of Crown prosecutors from across Canada. Please review, complete and submit the Crown Grant Application to be considered. Applications must be received by October 14, 2016. Crown Grant applicants need not submit a Conference application.
Once you have been approved to attend the conference, please see this information regarding discounts for booking your hotel and flights. The conference is scheduled to begin at 8am on the 28th and end at 5pm on the 29th. Agenda coming soon.
