The Labour Relations and Compensation Analysis department provides labour relations legal services and compensation analysis consulting for Nova Scotia’s health authority sector as well as long term care facilities, home care organizations, adult residential centres/regional rehabilitation centres and other health-related agencies.

Position scope: The position will support the team within the Labour Relations and Compensation Analysis department and will play an important role in coordinating significant projects. Key tasks will include coordinating large volumes of information in both Excel and Word and providing collective bargaining support to bargaining teams. This role will be responsible for organizing and analyzing significant volumes of information while ensuring the accuracy of the information.  The position will also research information as required, provide administrative support to committees, and provide paralegal assistance to multiple lawyers. The successful candidate will have exceptional technical skills, with a strong proficiency with Excel and Word. As a liaison between HANS and our clients, you must excel in a demanding, high-paced environment. You will be highly detailed-oriented and flexible to changing priorities. You are extremely organized and well equipped to prioritize and coordinate projects and documents across teams. You will be able to manage numerous requests, establish priorities, and enjoy working in a dynamic, deadline and detailed oriented environment.  

Qualifications: ·        

  • A Paralegal or Legal Administration diploma, with experience in a legal support role. Labour Law experience would be considered an asset.       
  • Exceptional Excel and Word skills and experience.  ·        
  • Excellent note-taking and organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail; strong spelling, grammar and puncuation skills.·        
  • A motivated self-starter that can work well autonomously; and be able to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Will have exceptional communication skills, the highest degree of professionalism and a focus on providing timely and accurate client service.  
  • The ability to manage demands with tight deadlines will be essential.
