Our Insurance team is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our Halifax Office. Responsible for preparing correspondence and legal documents, the incumbent will prepare various court documents and orders, communicate with clients, private investigators, opposing parties and witnesses, and assist in preparation for and attend discoveries, trials and hearings as requested. The litigation paralegal will be held accountable for file preparation, organization and management, utilizing a bring forward system to monitor progress of all files including monitoring expiry dates, filing deadlines and limitation periods. They will own client billing, tracking and processing client payments, following up as required.  

The ideal candidate will have a Paralegal or Legal Administration diploma or other related education, with experience in a legal support role. They must excel in a demanding, high-pace environment, be highly detail-oriented, and be flexible to changing priorities. The successful candidate will have exceptional technology skills, with proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office and legal billing systems. As the liaison between the Firm and clients, the incumbent will have exceptional communication skills, a special focus on client service and the highest degree of professionalism. Working in a team environment, the successful candidate will be strong team player and have high personal integrity.
