Canadian Afghan Associations of Atlantic Canada: Cultural celebration fundraiser July 28

The Canadian Afghan Associations of Atlantic Canada (CAAAC) was created earlier this year. Our mandate is to spread awareness of the Afghans’ situation and to help build our relationship with local Afghani communities in order to support the younger generation with issues of education and offer opportunities for university students in Afghanistan to attend universities in Canada. Our purpose is to act as a support to Afghans and give voice to their situation in order to educate and bring understanding to their current situation.

Join us for a cultural celebration
The society will be hosting a fundraising dinner and dance event on July 28, starting at 6:30 pm at the Dalhousie University Club. Tickets are $40 each and can be purchased by contacting us at (902)456-8312 or, or at the door the evening of the event.

Come celebrate our first Afghan fundraiser and share an evening of authentic, delightful home-cooked Afghani food, traditional musicians & dancers, henna art, and stories that truly reflect Afghanistan and its people. There will be cash bar on site.

All funds raised go toward helping schools in the villages of Afghanistan and opportunities to students who wish to pursue a higher education and a chance to study here, in Atlantic Canada, to return with the skills necessary to uplift their communities.

For more details, see the CAAAC Facebook page and the event page on Facebook.

We appreciate any help that you can give.
