Halifax District Byelection results
Of 1,648 eligible voters, 517 (31.4%) cast electronic ballots.

The byelection, held in accordance with Regulation 2.3.1, opened Monday, January 16 and ended on Wednesday, January 18 at 4:30 pm. Voting was open to the membership in Halifax District only. The Society distributed electronic ballots to all eligible voters by email.

Council for 2011-2012 includes four members in Halifax District; one of these seats has been vacant since the elevation of the Hon. Justice Michael Wood to the Nova Scotia Supreme Court in September. The three other current members of Council for Halifax District are Christa M. Brothers, Aleta C. Cromwell and William L. Mahody.
