Books by courier

Members outside the Halifax Regional Municipality may contact the Barristers' Library to borrow circulating books. Books are sent out the same day, whenever possible. The Barristers' Library incurs the cost of sending books by courier to members, while members bear the cost of returning books.
Interlibrary loans

$20.00 per article or book, plus the costs imposed by the lending library, including its courier costs
Faxing services

Members can use the Barristers' Library's fax machine to send material anywhere within Halifax at a cost of $1.00 per page, anywhere within Nova Scotia at a cost of $2.00 per page, or anywhere else in Canada at a cost of $3.00 per page. Members can have material faxed to them at the Barristers' Library at a cost of $1.00 per page.
Overdue/lost books

Members who do not return overdue material after three reminders are invoiced for the cost of the material, plus a $25.00 service fee. Members who return overdue material after receipt of an invoice are still accountable for the $25.00 service fee.
