Many Nova Scotians rely heavily on advice from their financial advisors. Understanding what that advice must disclose and what you as an investor need to ask can directly impact your financial future.

The majority of people don’t know the true standard of conduct that is required of their financial advisor under the current laws. We want to clarify that structure and educate Nova Scotians on how to better protect their financial futures.

We’re hosting a public consultation session at the Halifax Central Library on July 12th and you’re invited. Specific changes are proposed to the laws related to the client/advisor relationship. The purpose of our public consultation is to hear from Nova Scotians directly as to what those changes should look like. We want to encourage Nova Scotians to have their say on a topic that directly impacts their financial future.

Please join us for some light refreshments, a short presentation and discussion.
