Looking for a Full time Legal Assistant to join our busy Law Office.  Experience would be considered a major asset.  The successful applicant would be responsible for but not limited to the following tasks:

  • Typing dictations, time entry, preparing correspondence and legal documents
  • Attention to detail and a high level of efficiency and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills, competent with management of files, schedules and deadlines
  • Scheduling appointments and calendar management
  • Pre-bills, bills, requesting cheques, expense recovery practices (tracking and data base entry)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook, Adobe and ability to learn other computer software such as ESI Law
  • Ability to multitask and produce accurate work with short timelines
  • Telephone and reception
  • Ability to work independently and displays confidentiality, discretion and professionalism
  • Organizing, printing and binding Affidavits disclosing documents and other document books
  • Preparing standard Supreme Court Family Division documents
  • Preparing standard Probate Court documents
  • Preparing standard Corporate documents
  • Typing, reviewing and formatting Wills, Powers of Attorney, Quit Claim Deeds and other Estate Planning documents.
