2017 COUNCIL ELECTIONS: Halifax District Election

From March 6 to 20, 2017, the Society is conducting an election for Council in Halifax District.  

Please note: Voting begins at 8:30 am on Monday, March 6 and closes at 5:00 pm on Monday, March 20, 2017.

Halifax District candidates – 4 seats available

Note: The links below will take you to biographies and election statements for the candidates.

All members of the Society in good standing are eligible to vote in this election as long as they reside in Nova Scotia and have a Halifax District mailing address on file at the Society, as per regulation 2.4.3.

Following the Halifax District Election, another election will take place to elect three “At Large” members from anywhere in the province. Nominations will be open from March 20 to April 3, with the election taking place from April 17 to 24. All lawyers and non-practising members are eligible to run and vote for these positions.
